They were willing to do just about anything to make sure they had a taste of that sweet, sweet Chinese Yuan. Westerners bargained that the rising middle class in China, despite its communist and authoritarian rule, would be a huge boost to corporate bottom lines. They have prostrated themselves before the communist rulers of China in every unbecoming effort to get a chance at the Chinese market. They have groveled, they have begged, they have pleaded. ![]() Are western corporations finally waking up to the dangers of China after decades of empowering them?
